The Gods: Banished/Imprisoned Deities

The gods and goddesses listed under banished and imprisoned deities are just what they sound like.  Each of them have been banished from the main pantheon and imprisoned in a prison realm (some in the same realm) for a crime committed against their fellow gods.  Worship of these deities has been outlawed in the world by Zargan himself.  As such, they have no temples.  Their only mortal followers are members of various scattered cults, although Kazluri has the largest cult.  Kazluri, Kortu, and Milrort are imprisoned in the same realm, but the others are alone.

Caratacus: the God of Torture, Caratacus is sadism incarnate.  He is the son of Kazluri and an unknown mortal woman and was the first (and so far only) demigod to ascend to godhood.  Naturally, he sided with his father during Kazluri’s uprising and was banished and imprisoned as a result.

Dyfon: Dyfon is the God of Order and Chaos and one of the few surviving elder gods.  He is also the former King of the Gods.  Dyfon is unique among the gods in that he represents both aspects at once with two faces: one on each side of his head.  Usually, only one face is active at once and the other sleeps when not in control.  However, on occasion both faces will be awake at the same time.  The result is organized chaos brought on by an insane god.  Dyfon is an elder god and the father of most of the pantheon, including both Kazluri and Zargan.  However, his bouts of madness have caused tremendous disaster in the past, including an instance where in his madness he conducted the ritual to summon Orongi the Destroyer, who decided to bring about the end times.  Fortunately, Orongi was thwarted and re-imprisoned, but the cost was very heavy.  As a result, Dyfon was overthrown and banished to a prison realm.  He was not around during Kazluri’s uprising as he was the first deity to be banished.  As an interesting twist, Dyfon also used to include both Good and Evil in his duties, resulting in his son Hoven becoming the God of Universal Balance.  However, having to balance all four himself became too much of a task so he ripped off two of his faces.  His evil face became Falarog, the God of Evil, and his good face became Shuldra, the Goddess of Good.  It is unknown if he would attempt to retake his throne if he were to ever escape.

Falarog: Falarog is the God of Evil takes the form of a mature man. He is tall and has a graceful build. He has no hair, but instead his head is covered in bony plates.  He has three faces, but not all on he head.  Falarog is one of three surviving elder gods to have been banished to a prison realm.  Because he is so powerful, he has his own prison that is very similar to the realm keeping Orongi the Destroyer away from the realms.  If Kazluri were to ever escape, he would likely seek a way to free Falarog as a potential ally.  Of course, Falarog is more powerful than the Tyrant God and would likely turn on him for his own purposes.  Falarog used to be a part of Dyfon, until the Father of the Gods couldn’t handle to good and evil aspects of his nature and severed them into separate beings.

Kazluri: God of Tyranny.  Appears as a gigantic human male wearing armor and with an air of royalty about him.  Also seems to have an aura of fear and one fist appears to be made of iron.  Evil brother and rival of Zargan.  Kazluri is a megalomaniac.  He once appeared in the material realm and, after gathering an army of followers, tried to conquer it to rule himself.  The rest of the pantheon had not choice but to interfere and put a stop to his plan.  Zargan severely punished him for this transgression, but could not bring himself to banish his brother.  As a result Kazluri gathered some of the other more like minded deities and lead an uprising in an attempt to overthrow his brother and take the throne of the gods as leader.  He might have succeeded if he had more followers, but his forces were defeated and it was this betrayal that led to his imprisonment.  If he should ever escape, he will likely try again to overthrow the pantheon before conquering the rest of existence

Kortu: God of Nightmares. no set form.  Takes the appearance of viewer’s worst nightmare.  He was banished for siding with Kazluri in the tyrant god’s failed attempt to overthrow Zargan

Milrort: God of Slaughter. brother of Nekros.  appears as a wild haired crazed man dripping with blood.  A psycho killer by nature, he sided with Kazluri during the uprising and was directly responsible for the deaths of hundreds of lesser deities and demigods.  He was defeated by his own brother.  In addition to his love of killing, he also enjoys raising his victims as the undead so that they can continue killing.

Oindir: God of Robbers, Thieves, and Bandits takes the form of a muscular young man.  He can vanish or appear without a trace.  He was banished for trying to steal from his fellow deities and has been trapped alone in his own prison realm.  He did not join Kazluri during the uprising, but would probably side with him if he ever escaped.

Vussan: God of Disease takes the form of an older man. He is tall and has a broad-shouldered build. He is bald. His eyes are merely bloody pits. He is usually portrayed as wearing a complicated suit of armor made from the very essence of decay, and a mask. He carries a cube. He is surrounded by the stench of death.  Long ago, Vussan appeared in the material realm and intentionally spread a new plague that nearly killed every living thing in the world.  He was banished and imprisoned in his own prison realm for this crime.  Vussan was the second to be banished so was not around during Kazluri’s uprising.  However, it is highly likely that he would have been a supporter.

Wybeta: God of Lies takes the form of a young man.  He has six eyes and ears. He has four arms.  A pathological lier himself, he was aware of Kazluri’s plan to overthrow Zargan but lied and said that there was not conspiracy when asked by a suspicious Ender.  After the uprising, his deception was discovered and he was banished for intentionally withholding important information that could have prevented the uprising.  He is also imprisoned alone.

Obedeas: God of Cannibalism and one of the surviving elder gods.  His true from is that of a human with six arms and four legs.  His hands are wickedly clawed and he has razor sharp teeth.  He is also very hairy and is said to be the father of all wendigos.  Obedeas was one of Kazluri’s supporters during the tyrant gods’ failed grab for power.  He was defeated during Kazluri’s uprising and banished.
